We invite you to know the indelible landscape of the large salt flats, along with the most colorful mountain landscapes in Argentina. You will experience the contrast of the climate that exists in Jujuy, going from arid to almost jungle landscapes (yungas) with a vast variety of flora and fauna.
You will have the opportunity to live the height of a mountain range that will take your breath away. You will come into contact with the handicrafts of the native peoples and with their culinary and pre-Columbian archaeological traditions. You will also live the enriching experience of sleeping one night in a family home.
The main activity will be trekking through the spectacular landscapes of the region and also along an ancient Inca trail in the jungle views of the Yungas. Another attraction will be the realization of craft activities with the locals.
The accommodation and services of drivers and guides are also proposals of excellent service and with social commitment to the commune to which they belong. They start with more traditional accommodations and end with more modern amenities.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: TRANSFER IN – SALTA (- / – / -)
Arrival to the city of Salta and reception of the guide to start the circuit.
In the afternoon City Tour around the city and visit the MAAM (High Mountain Archeology Museum).
Accommodation in Salta.
Accommodation: Convent or similar.
DAY 2: SALTA CAPITAL – PURMAMARCA (B / – / D)
Departure on an excursion to Purmamarca, passing through the RN 51 crossing the Quebrada del Toro, San Antonio de los Cobres, Salinas Grandes.
In the afternoon arrival in Purmamarca.
Accommodation.
Dinner and Andean cooking workshop.
Accommodation: Del Amauta or similar.
DAY 3: PURMAMARCA – HUMAHUACA (B / L / -)
Departure on an excursion to Humahuaca to see the Hornocal.
Lunch in a Rural Community in the area.
Tour of the community’s Antigal (pre-Columbian archaeological site).
In the afternoon, return to Humahuaca.

DAY 4: HUMAHUACA – COLORADO VALLEY (B / – / -)
Departure on an excursion to Valle Colorado to visit and observe the change of landscape from the puna to the yungas.
Trekking on an ancient Inca Trail “Qhapaq ñan”.
In the afternoon arrival in Valle Colorado.

DAY 5: COLORADO VALLEY – LIBERTADOR SAN MARTÍN (B / – / -)
Departure on an excursion to Libertador General San Martín, crossing the Calilegua National Park.
In the afternoon arrival at Libertador General San Martín.

Accommodation: Posada del Sol or similar.
DAY 6: LIBERTADOR SAN MARTÍN – TARTAGAL (B / L / -)
Departure on an excursion to the city of Tartagal to visit a rural community where we will have lunch and carry out activities in the nursery and a trek through the yungas. Includes rural snack.
In the afternoon, return to Tartagal.

DAY 7: TARTAGAL – COMMUNITIES (B / L / -)
Departure on an excursion to communities in the area to carry out workshops and share experiences with the locals and a rural snack.
In the afternoon, return to Tartagal.

DAY 8: TARTAGAL – TRANSFER OUT
Transfer from hotel in Tartagal to Jujuy or Salta Airport.
